This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.WFTSTAMPA – The Tampa Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that occurred overnight.In the first, a juvenile was shot in the leg at 3410 McBerry Street around 5:30 a.m. He was with a group that were hanging out in the street when a vehicle drove by and shot in their direction, hitting the juvenile in the leg. Another person in his group shot back, but it’s unknown if anyone else was injured. The leg injury was not life-threatening, police say.The second shooting was around 2 a.m. at an apartment complex at 4902 N. MacDill Avenue. The victim gave the suspect, a stranger, a ride from Ybor City to the complex. Once they parked, both left the vehicle to walk into the complex. The victim was standing between two vehicles when a third man appeared, and the suspect and the third man robbed the victim of his cell phone, car keys and cash, police say. Then, one of them shot the victim in the leg as he ran off.The victim was unable to tell police who shot him, and was taken to a local hospital. The victim is Traves Jones, 37.
